Destination Ukraine

While terrified evacuees were anxiously leaving everything they knew behind … our very own Don Mandell was headed into war-torn Ukraine. Here is Don’s riveting story:

With an urgent prompting from the Holy Spirit, I knew God was directing me to Kramatorsk, Ukraine. God laid it upon my heart to return to Ukraine to minister to these precious people on behalf of our ministry. The people of Ukraine have been stretched to the breaking point … and were in great need of our support, encouragement, and spiritual uplifting.

The two flights I had booked were both canceled due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine several days earlier. The bombing and rocketing was so severe that the church leadership and most of the congregation had left and took refuge. But, with God—all things are possible!

As I prayed to God for favor, I was able to book a flight to Warsaw, Poland. From there, I caught a train to Lublin, Poland, and then another train to Chelm, Poland. I found myself in a race against time … Ukraine has a strict military curfew of 10 p.m. … so I knew I needed to keep moving forward as quickly as possible! From Chelm, I got a ride on a local bus to Hrubieszow, and then another bus to Dolhobuczow.

Once in Dolhobuczow, there wasn’t any other form of transportation that could get me the last 4 kilometers to the border. Yet, I was determined to get there before curfew! Without hesitation, I set out on foot and began hitchhiking. Thankfully, I was picked up and I made it to Ukraine in time. Praise God!

ENCOURAGED AND PRAYED FOR GOD’S PEOPLE

For 73 years in the life of Dr. Cerullo and his travels to the nations, we witnessed prophetic spiritual breakthroughs and turnarounds.

We cannot seek God for less in this hour for the nation of Ukraine. It was an amazing privilege to be able to pray and intercede for God’s people for miraculous breakthroughs, answers to prayer, and a quick end to the fighting and bloodshed in their beloved country.

Other nations are sending weapons, but God is cultivating spiritual weapons among the believers and intercessors.

BREAKTHROUGH IN LVIV

While ministering in Lviv, the faith of these precious people rises not only for their nation, but for their personal needs.

PRAYER AND BLESSING

My heart clung to the Book of Esther and the season of Purim underway when I was there. We also prayed for the Russians, the young perplexed boys in infantry, tanks, and air force—many of whom have no idea why they are there, because they are lectured lies by propaganda. There were salvations, breakthroughs, and healings.

AMAZING UKRAINIAN-BORN PASTORS

Entering Ukraine for me, having travelled to this nation multiple times with Dr. Cerullo, was a walk down the hallway of Hebrews 11:4-36 with the people of valor, as if to hear, “….and what of Walter Zygarewicz?” He is an Alumni of Dr. Cerullo’s El Cortez School of Ministry in San Diego; architect of training campaigns conducted by Dr. Cerullo in Kiev, Kharkov, and Zaporizhia Ukraine.

Brother Zygarewicz is the son of Ukrainians, he has planted churches, trained Nationals, and helps support God’s besieged all over, including Donetsk. The Partners who helped train him under Dr. Cerullo unleashed a torrent of blessing, including in Russia (and also Latin America).

What also of Bishop Henry Madava of Kiev, who is over a mega church, and so close to “Papa,” as a a supporter of the Legacy Center? What of Pastor Volodymyr Bilyk of Spring of Life, of Bishops Vitaly, and Anatoly? Also, Pastor Volodymyr Zubenko, standing strong for their cities under war and threat?

And what of all the Ukrainians in the worldwide Slavic work of God, such as Rev. Edward Grabavenko, now of Perm, Russia, a Ukrainian touched in Dr. Cerullo’s school and for years over a main umbrella organization of Russian Pentecostal churches. What of the Friedmans, who are Ukrainians (now Israelis) serving God in Carmiel, Israel, evangelizing so many cities and training, having hosted and helped Dr. Cerullo for years.

Together, we are seeing nations changed for the glory of God! Friend, your financial support will make an eternal impact on Ukrainian people. Would you consider an offering of $20, $30, or even $40? The needs during war are immense, and the people of Ukraine need us during this time.
